Old School is an online content-sharing platform for senior citizens where they can share videos, blogs, and their biographies. The minimum viable product (MVP) was completed in eight days for the client, Mr. L. Derly.
Taking into account the target audience, accessibility was at the forefront of all design and functionality decisions:
- Users authenticate with their Google account so they won't have to memorize yet a new set of credentials.
- The site is screen-reader friendly with a 'Skip to Main Content' button that enhances the site navigation user experience for users with visual and/or fine-motor impairments.
- The color scheme uses warm tones that are easy on the eyes and all elements have a high contrast to aid visibility.
- Large text and buttons were used throughout for easy reading and navigation.
