Road-mapping and Prioritization

Attendees: Denise, Neil, & Colleen

Agenda:

  • New Wiki space. Drawing attention to this. How do we want to use it for the benefit of the hackathon participants?
  • Create Milestones (organization by sector?)
  • Review standard ticket and board outline. Can we use estimates - storypoint or time to help outline sprints? Using labels for sprint planning? Do we want to use labels to identify sectors?
  • Review current ticket backlog
  • Identifying where we most need hackathon participants to plug in

Additional PM Questions: What is the best way for new python devs to access the excel models? Until this phase of the project, the CoLab team hasn't had to touch the excel models much. Ticket created: https://github.com/ProjectDrawdown/solutions/issues/294

**PM Need/ ACTION: **

  • Ask about "Additional Materials" document.
  • Why is Cool Roofs in the Transportation Sector?
  • On what date should we anticipate receipt of the new models? (should have this in notes somewhere. please review and add milestone to calendar)
  • Confirm that we should move forward with https://github.com/ProjectDrawdown/solutions/issues/285

Team Notes:

  • The next milestone is simply the hackathon. Design cleanup should come first before the new integrations. This way we will establish a common framework. Specifications clarified and backlog populated.
  • Sprint 1 - hackathon planning. Design clean-up.
  • Has to be the appropriate level of granularity for the hackathon. The right balance of creativity and not too hard. - what about the secondary variables? Don't want the issues that are too big.
  • Our wiki is likely just for us. This is going to have way more information than we need.

Hackathon Planning

Attendees: Dev, Denise, Colleen, Tomaz

Agenda:

  • Where do we want to focus our energies? Python model completion.
  • Will it be possible to do UI work in this hackathon. Not public yet.
  • New Wiki space. How do we want to use it for the benefit of the hackathon participants.

PM Questions:

  • is adding regionalization element to the current UI possible hackathon work? - probably not
  • Clarify which Colab participants will be able to participate in the hackathon. How about Neil.

Can Kirill and Casper play the role of triaging and assigning tickets.

Dev is facilitating the event. Dev, Kat, Casper, and Kirill will be running the show. There will be a few speakers.

Denise will be on call to support devs.

We will need to make a google doc for the self-help documentation. A place for them to gather information as they go. @DEV to create this.
