You can comment your own or other user's posts and comments.
Please stick to your network's Code of Conduct in what you write. Rule of thumb: "Write as you would like to be written to".
Click into the empty comment field below a post, write a comment and click the Comment
button. You can use the text editor to format your text and mentions to mention and notify other users. Hashtags don't work in comments.
if commenting is not possible it means that:
- the post has been published in a group and only their members can comment it.
- you blocked the author of the post.
- the author blocked you.
Click the reply button below the comment to add the username of this user as a mention into your comment. You can add more mentions manually.
You can edit your own comments only. Click the three dots and select Edit comment
.
You can delete your own comments only. Click the three dots and select Delete comment
. The details of your comment will be replaced by "...this comment is not available anymore".
By deleting your own posts all related comments will be deleted too including those of other users.
When deleting your user account you can choose if all your comments should be deleted as well. More information.
You can report comments to the network's moderators. More information.
In some posts the user name Anonymous can be shown. More information.
