This repository was created for use by CDC programs to collaborate on public health surveillance related projects in support of the CDC Surveillance Strategy. Github is not hosted by the CDC, but is used by CDC and its partners to share information and collaborate on software.
This is a digital case study built with Jupyter Notebook and Docker about the 1854 Cholera Outbreak in London. Dr. John Snow carried out the investigation of this outbreak. Click on the Binder or Azure link above to interact with this digital case study. Wait a few minutes for the binder or Azure notebook service to complete its setup and launch. Enjoy the rest of the story after you launch the case study.
After clicking on the "launch binder" link above, wait for a few minutes to BinderHub build the Docker container.
This service seems to be continuously being improved by Microsoft so notebooks launch process might break anytime. After launching a notebook or terminal, you may see a popup window that looks like the one below. It means MS Azure has not completely built the Jupyter Notebook container yet. When the popup window to disappears, this means all the packages have been installed.
