Setting up a BLTouch probe

MatterControl can us a BLTouch to automatically calculate the level of a bed. Technically it can use any probe but we will focus on a BLTouch for this article.

What you need to enable:

• Hardware
  • Has Z Probe
  • Has Z Servo (for BLTouch)
• Probe
  • Use Automatic Z Probe
  • Probe Offset
    • set the X and Y distance from the tip of the nozzle, the z will be set by the user

Optional (recommended):

• Probe
  • Validate Calibration Before Printing
    • This will check that the leveling solution is valid before each print

Required features of the firmware:

• G30 must functions correctly on the printer, this is how we collect the level information from the probe
