Releases: Martomate/Hexacraft
Hexacraft 0.14
Hexacraft 0.14 is finally here, and it comes with several improvements!
First of all, the textures were improved! A comparison with the previous textures can be seen here.
Secondly, the long awaited multiplayer feature is just around the corner! Most of the work has now been done and there are only a few steps left. This will likely be released in the next version very soon!
Finally, there has been extensive work on improving the performance, especially during chunk loading and unloading. The chunks are now loading twice as fast and produces less spike lag than in the previous version!
Changes
- Improved textures
- Added a small amount of directional sunlight on the block faces
- Improved chunk loading speed and performance
- Removed several sources of spike lag
- Implemented most of what is needed for multiplayer
The easiest way to start playing is by using the launcher.

Hexacraft 0.12
Happy new year! The past year has been quite productive with lots of improvements to how the game works internally, as well as some notable additions mentioned below.
The multiplayer feature is in the works and will hopefully be ready within the next few months. Over the coming year I hope to focus more on adding new features and less on internal improvements to the codebase. Biomes and improved water rendering come to mind, but there are also lots of other features I would like to add.
Changes
- Added TNT
- Added water physics (mainly buoyancy and drag)
- Prepared for adding advanced water rendering in the future
- Started working on LAN based multiplayer (coming soon!)
- Fixed some bugs and added some new ones
The easiest way to start playing is by using the launcher.
Hexacraft 0.11
After more than two years (again) it is finally time to release Hexacraft 0.11!
The most notable change in the game is smooth lighting. In previous versions the transition between dark and bright areas of the world was discrete, but from now on the light transition is instead continuous! This is very noticable in caves, which can be seen below.
Changes

- Added smooth lighting
- Updated birch tree texture
- Added arm64 support
- Prepared for adding multiplayer support in the future
- Improved the codebase enormously
Plans for the future

Hexacraft Launcher 1.1
- Fixed problem on Windows where it didn't run the game
- Fixed problem on Windows where it opened a CMD window for no reason
The Mac version is still untested, but the other two should work now.
Hexacraft Launcher 1.0
First release of the Hexacraft Launcher!
Instead of having to worry about jar-files and folders,
just open the launcher and select the version you want to play!
Features:
- Play any version, and explore the history of the game
- Play latest version, and the launcher will detect when a new version has come out!
Note: Some old versions of the game might not work on your computer.
This will not be fixed, since that is part of the history of the game.
Also: I have not tested the Windows or Mac versions.
If they don't work, please make and issue.
