Ready Set Roll v2.1.0

A feature release of Ready Set Roll, that brings three new requested features: individual dice rerolling, better prioritisation options for applying damage and effects, and expanded options for rolling manual damage.

COMPATIBILITY WARNING: This module version ONLY SUPPORTS Foundry VTT version 11 (release) and greater. To use this module version you must also use Foundry VTT version 11. If you do not wish to update your core software, please continue using previous versions of Ready Set Roll.

For manual installation, use the following manifest URL: https://github.com/MangoFVTT/fvtt-ready-set-roll-5e/releases/download/release-2.1.0/module.json

Patch Notes

Individual Dice Rerolling

  • If enabled via the module settings, individual dice rolls in quick rolls can be rerolled by clicking on that individual dice within the chat card.
  • Rerolling dice will automatically live edit the quick roll's chat card, displaying the new rolls and roll totals alongside the already existing dice.

Expanded Apply Options

  • Two new options are added to the settings for applying damage or effects. "Prioritise Selected Tokens" will apply to selected tokens if there are any, and otherwise will apply to targeted tokens. "Prioritise Targeted Tokens" will do the same but in reverse, applying to targeted tokens if there are any, and otherwise applying to selected tokens.

Expanded Manual Damage Options

  • A new option is added to settings for rolling damage manually. "Attack Rolls Only" will only require manual damage rolling when an item has an attack roll. Otherwise, damage is rolled automatically.

Ready Set Roll v2.0.0

A feature release of Ready Set Roll, that brings compatibility for the newly released Foundry VTT version 11, as well as a slew of requested features: situational bonuses on rolls, missing actor quick rolls such as death saves, and configurable damage from ammunition.

COMPATIBILITY WARNING: This module version ONLY SUPPORTS Foundry VTT version 11 (release) and greater. To use this module version you must also use Foundry VTT version 11. If you do not wish to update your core software, please continue using previous versions of Ready Set Roll.

For manual installation, use the following manifest URL: https://github.com/MangoFVTT/fvtt-ready-set-roll-5e/releases/download/release-2.0.0/module.json

Patch Notes

Situational Bonuses

  • If enabled via the module settings, right-clicking anything that would normally output a quick roll (instead of left-clicking) will automatically display a pop-up dialog to add a situational bonus to relevant parts of that roll. For actor rolls, this is a simple bonus to the roll at large. For item rolls, this can be a bonus to attack, ability check, or damage, depending on what's available for the item.
  • The normal key modifiers and RSR features can still be applied to rolls made with a situational bonus.

Additional Quick Rolls

  • If enabled via the module settings, rolling death saving throws from the actor will now use a quick roll. This includes full functionality, such as rolling advantage/disadvantage with hotkeys, retroactively editing the card, and so on.
  • If enabled via the module settings, rolling tools from the actor traits page will now use a quick roll. This was a missing piece of actor quick rolling that has now been patched up.

Versatile Ammunition

  • When quick rolling items that use ammunition to add damage, the quick roll configuration of the ammunition will now be taken into account. For example, if the ammunition is set to use versatile damage on an alt roll, and the item using it is rolled with an alt roll, the ammunition will add the versatile damage in place of its base damage.

Ready Set Roll v1.4.0

Another feature release of Ready Set Roll, which adds the ability to hide save DCs for NPCs or all players, as well as support for basic quick roll macros, and support for processing Roll 20 style string queries. This a set of features aimed at improving more flexible use of the module by allowing more experienced users to provide custom options when making quick rolls.

COMPATIBILITY WARNING: This module version ONLY SUPPORTS Foundry VTT version 10 (release) and greater. To use this module version you must also use Foundry VTT version 10. If you do not wish to update your core software, please continue using Better Rolls 5e.

For manual installation, use the following manifest URL: https://github.com/MangoFVTT/fvtt-ready-set-roll-5e/releases/download/release-1.4.0/module.json

Patch Notes

Hide Save DCs

  • If enabled via the module settings, quick rolls will replace save DC values with ?? for specific NPCs or PCs. This is a requested feature to add some mystery to saving throws, or to simply not reveal all information about a monster to players.

Macro Support

  • Module-specific macros can be called to directly create quick rolls with custom options, or to output a set of damage rolls without any attached item.
  • Macros are available in the following format:
    • rsr5e.macro.rollItem('item ID or name', 'actor ID or name (optional)', options = {})
    • rsr5e.macro.rollDamage([['formula 1', 'damage type 1'], ['formula 2', 'damage type 2'], ...], options = {})

String Queries

  • Macro scripts can call rsr5e.query() on a Roll20 style query (e.g. '?{Select Die Value|1d4,4|1d6,6|1d8,8}'.
  • This will bring up a dialog prompt parsed from that query when the macro is executed, and return the selected value for later use.
