The 2015 Canadian General Election on Facebook

This repository contains Facebook user data from the 2015 Canadian general election. Data consists of federal party leaders’ campaign messages (N = 1,711) and the responses to those messages from everyday Facebook users (n = 92,516).

The raw and processed data in this repository are ready to be made public. I have invested some additional effort to better ensure Facebook users' privacy. As the data pertains to a single historic event, and considering that Facebook has terminated access to its public Graph API, users should not expect many changes to this repository in the future.

You can expect minor updates (e.g., improvements to documentation). I may also include a folder containing examples of how researchers can analyze these kinds of data - with a focus on text analysis.
