I'd like a Management member to be involved when changing the rules. Maybe @EPIC-striker has opinions here?

My own thoughts:

  • We should remove rules about spamming & using capitals, the server protects against that. If the server says it's fine, it's fine.
  • We shouldn't add a rule against advertising. Players do play on other servers, it would be silly to pretend like they don't.
  • "bullying" is rather undefined, I'm not sure players will get what's meant by that.

Agreed.

Freakins, thank you for your continuous help!

I'm in favor of going with only these set of rules

"{2566BA}- {A9C4E4}Cheats or modifications that grant an advantage over other players are forbidden",
"{2566BA}- {A9C4E4}No excessive swearing, flaming, or racism",

"{2566BA}- {A9C4E4}DO NOT abuse bugs and/or commands - c-bug and 2-shot are permitted",
"{2566BA}- {A9C4E4}DO NOT harm a cruise in any way",

The server is already taking care of these so we can actually remove them.
As for the ship rule, we have Gunther and the info icon on the ship itself so there's no need.

"{2566BA}- {A9C4E4}Avoid the use of constant CAPS while speaking in the main chat",
"{2566BA}- {A9C4E4}DO NOT evade death by means of quitting and re-joining, running into interiors, or using commands",
"{2566BA}- {A9C4E4}DO NOT spam",
"{2566BA}- {A9C4E4}DO NOT shoot or throw grenades at the ship.",

I do agree ont he points mentioned by Russell:

  • Bullying is rather undefined.
  • Advertising in a way is allright.
  • We have a "CAPS fixer", this rule can be omitted.

However I do not mind keeping the "do not SPAM rule"
Stupid, Pointless Annoying Messages are still bad. And there's options to SPAM where the system isn't adequate.

We could however use a rule that states the use of common sense.. That way the SPAM rule can be removed as anybody with half a brain cell will understand to SPAM is not alright...
