Is there a status update for this issue? It was opened in 2021 with the status "S: in progress" and milestone 0.8.0, but version 0.8.0 has been released since May 2024.

@mhellmeier thanks, status should be changed.
Unfortunately, the JaCoCo XML format is not fully compatible with Kotlin (see #279 and codecov/uploader#913), so we need to develop own format for uploading reports.
This is a significant change that was not a priority. At the moment, the integration of Kover and Kotlin (via Kotlin Gradle Plugin) is a priority, and in the process of this, a Kotlin report format should be developed.

@shanshin shanshin added S: postponed Status: work on the issue is not in the short term plans and removed S: in progress Status: implementing or design in process labels Oct 18, 2024
@shanshin shanshin removed this from the Release 0.8.0 milestone Oct 18, 2024
