##Background

Our idea is to build a lightweight platform for people to share personal stories as a way to combat apathy towards campaigns, campaign issues, and politics in general.

The way this would work is to have a simple site where people could upload their stories as videos, text or pictures and use these to engage people on a personal level. For example, stories from immigrants who have integrated into UK society tell their stories of how they've integrated with society/contributed to society etc would serve as a personal message to show that immigrants aren't seeking to steal British jobs and so on.

The library of stories would be used to present a coherent message and build a positive community to target these issues. By engaging people on a personal level, we can start to tackle apathy and spread information and education in a more accessible way. There would be the ability to share stories via social media, and to be able to comment on existing stories.

A step further would be that other campaigning sites/organisations can use The Other Voices as a resource to supplement their own campaigns, and/or for campaigners to use it as a platform to share their causes and build support for them.

Our MVP would be a simple site where someone can add a story via uploading/linking a video/pictures, and writing their story.
