The North Korea tourism video didn't receive enough views to still receive free hosting (it needed to get at least 10 views in 90 days), so Vimple has now taken it down. Please let me know if you want to host it or it is already being hosted elsewhere. #10 (comment)

In [early April 2016](https://archive.is/UNxr6), Appelbaum visited North Korea for [seven days](https://archive.is/qIWWz#selection-1113.0-1113.43) as part of a guided tour group of nine other Americans with the [Korean International Travel Company](https://archive.is/qIWWz#selection-1077.69-1077.105), supposedly after [receiving offers](https://archive.is/fXuKk) sometime in [January](https://archive.is/z4M1R). Though he never publicly announced he was going, he can be seen in the group pictures from a [personal essay](https://archive.is/qIWWz) written by [**PBS Newshour** producer](https://archive.is/4msEB) [Hannah Yi](https://archive.is/Qop6H), as well as the [tour video](https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://vimeo.com/172360421) uploaded [anonymously](https://archive.is/uy8bI) to **Vimeo** between the 26th and 27th of June (Vimeo later took it down, but I had saved an .mp4 copy and [re-uploaded it here](http://vimple.co/04506a053f124483b8fb05ed73899f19)). Other than Appelbaum making an appearance, what is shown in the video matches pictures shared by Yi in the essay, such as [the soccer game at the Rungrado 1st of May stadium in Pyongyang](https://archive.is/qIWWz#selection-915.55-1193.98) and the [bronze statues at the Mansudae Grand Monument](https://archive.is/qIWWz#selection-915.55-1165.108). It has been alleged that this trip [may have threatened the **Tor Project**'s funding](https://archive.is/OIK0V#selection-215.2475-215.2578).
