Good call! I'll apply this to dev (cos that's our normal flow: all new commits to go against dev, then we merge to master)

I reviewed the consequence of applying this to dev instead of master: it would actually bring in some commits we don't want on dev. So reverting my change from last week.

Given this is a relatively small change, I reckon it would be simpler to create a new pull request directly against dev (or for someone to apply the change there).
