A dataset for analyzing the effect of highly cited researchers on the research productivity and impact of nations

Description

This dataset aims to analyze the results of John P. A. Ioannidis et al. (PLoS One, 2020) regarding the ranking of the top 2% scientists worldwide according to a field-adjusted citation metric. The purpose of this research work is to study the effect of the availability of highly cited scientists on the research productivity and standings of nations.
