(Proposal) Numbering convention for non WMO stations within DE_330
The station list used by HARP point verification within DE_330 project is based in harmonie's allsynop.list. This station list is based on information in WMO's ''Publication No. 9, Volume A, Observing Stations and WMO Catalogue of Radiosondes. This is regularly updated by the WMO. There is also scope to include local stations in these lists that are not included in WMO's Publication No. 9''. The following 7-digit station identifiers are available / in use by HIRLAM countries:

This list has been created by generating 7-digit codes taking the first two significant figures/digits of WMO's list of Station Id's by country. When the same two figures are shared by different countries, the remaining 5 figures are split between them.
