Sample Proposal
The goal behind the proposal is to analyse how proficient your understanding is regarding the project, along with your past work experiences and understanding of open-source development. We also wish you to understand your motivation for taking up C4GT.
Please note that at least one proposal submission is necessary for the application to be considered. You can submit 3 different proposals for 3 different projects if you wish to maximise your chances of selection.
Points to be keep in mind while making your proposal
- The proposal will be a key determinant for selection so account for time before the deadline for creation of the proposal. It should take anywhere between 4-7 days to write a proposal.
- Please ensure you go through the proposal guidelines. If you wish to add any other key sections to the proposal that will be relevant for the project then please do add them.
- If you have queries about projects, proposal creation or selection process please join our discord channel or write to at [email protected] and ask away!
- If you have solved any issues then do mention that, it wil help add to your candidature!

- Please share your skills/languages known here
Title - A good title should be concise, straightforward, and captivating to entice the reader to read your summary. Avoid including your name in the title.
Summary - Start the proposal with a short summary describing your approach towards the project briefly.
Project Details - To plan your project effectively, create a clear work breakdown structure that includes milestones and deadlines. Label each deliverable as either required or optional. You may choose to start the project with a white paper or follow traditional software engineering methods. Don't forget to include time for investigation in your schedule. Deliverables should cover investigation, coding, and documentation.
Availability - How many hours per week can you dedicate to this project? Do you have any other projects/internship/commitments lined up during the coding period i.e July to August. Share this information with the mentors.
Personal Information & Motivation
Use this section to share information about yourself, previous experience in open-source development or any other key projects you have undertaken. Please also share your motivation to apply to this project & C4GT.
