ArduPilot supports a growing number of RTK GPSs but at the moment they require the operator be using Mission Planner. In some fully autonomous situations where the operator is a long way away we need a local base station (probably running APSync on one of our support companion computer boards) to provide the RTK data. It would also be nice to support multiple vehicles from a single base station.
