Apm 2.8 Not recognized on computer and red light blinking

So I plugged my APM into the computer and the green light went steady but the blue light turned off and red light is blinking. How can I fix this.

The Apm 2.8 is somehow a little bit outdated 😉 but perhaps you cat tell some more details. The host system you are running the planner on, the version of the APM planner and perhaps the log file which is located in the home directory....
