Setting CPPFLAGS=-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -mmacosx-version-min=10.9 in the macOS compilers seems to cause some build issues. Namely the -mmacosx-version-min=10.9 part is getting injected along with _FORTIFY_SOURCE's 2 argument.
