Input/output Ports connect to each other

Had an fun idea for new option for belts / transport

what about option to connect I/O ports to each other or a new building doing it.

so it can go from belt into a input port, and then to a output port directly without use of a DSU, so directly connect I/O ports.
this would give a new set of abilities for conveyor setups.

That would make a new way of overlap belts without using underground.
also it would properly be a nice thing on Large tracks to same some performance with less belts needed.

  • Label I/O ports
  • Make option to link up to another I/O instead of a DSU

Jdalt40:

Have you thought of an I/O Port that only links to other ports? It'd be pretty much a teleporter
It would be useful for stuff like this, where it pretty much requires a storage unit for the output otherwise you'd have a bottleneck, having a teleporter would both remove the need for digital storage units and remove the bottleneck
