How to find without regex?

There are cases when regex is not needed, for example: a big file. It is slow.

I look up the guide how to find things with regex disabled and not found. To find, Ctrl+f. I think I missed something, please help.

micro is reliable, but until this case unsolved, I'm using nano at the moment.

Update:
I found this still unreliable. Unlike nano, it search as a character is types. It is lagging and slow. Are there option where look up as I hit enter key instead a character is entered.

It is Alt+F (F uppercase: Alt+Shift+F). For reasons I can't find this key combination on default keybind.

incsearch option can be disabled when pressing Ctrl+e then entering set incsearch off so that the search is not done while typing.
