Please set joyride to respect prefers-reduced-motion. This is a best practice that if I've set my OS to indicate I don't want animation, you don't serve me animation. Supported by Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge in Windows, Mac, iOS, Android.

The smooth scrolling in Joyride can make my eyes feel ill for up to half an hour afterwards, probably not an association websites would want me to have with them or, for commercial implementations, their brand.

If it is important to be able to see the direction, you might implement three keyframes which were implemented without motion, say, at 3 frames per second.
