Just wanted to mention that obtaining the Polonium Kwin script directly from the Kwin Scripts -> Get New Scripts menu works like a charm on Kubuntu 24.04.1 which was recently released (uses KDE 5 / Kwin 5.27.11 / X11).
Importantly, unlike Krohnkite, Firefox tiles just fine. Sadly Bismuth no longer seems to work on Kwin 5.27.11, and the fork of Krohnkite dropped Kwin 5 support in favor of Kwin 6.
For now Polonium is the only tiling solution I know of that fully functions on Kubuntu 24.04.
Love the b-tree, monocle and half layouts (latter works like the dwm master-stack layout).
Kubuntu 24.10 now has KDE 6, unclear when or if that will be backported to 24.04. If/when it does hopefully Polonium will keep working. I don't need anything fancy from a tiling setup, just stability and the few essential layout engines.

Polonium was stable for a few days, but as weeks go on I am seeing occasional odd behavior. Reboots fix it, so when using KDE I tend to reboot daily, rather than weekly as I typically do with other DE.
