Segmentation fault, ubuntu 19.10 #24

I tried following all the installation instructions, eventually managed to get a build and it gave the following:

Could not load the translation
Segmentation fault

NB: gksudo has no installaiton candidate in the current version of Ubuntu, so running as sudo.
