It looks like the default theme is breaking inline code formatting on Chrome.

It works fine on the other two themes:

And it works fine in Safari:

Chrome version: 34.0.1847.116
OS Version: OS X Mavericks 10.9.2

Turning off display: inline-block from these elements fixes it.
