problem loading idapython or python 2.7.2 on win7 x64

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installing IDA 6.1 and add python directory to path env var.
2. Installing idapython
3. running IDA 32-bit

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the command line is set to IDC insted of python

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
idapython-1.5.2.3_ida6.1_py2.6_win32.zip on Windows 7 x64 and python 2.7.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I started IDA as admin too but error exists...

You probably installed Python 2.7.2 x64 instead of x86?

We have the same problem, I use Python 2.7.2 Windows X86-64.

Python 2.7.2 doesnt work properly with this version . Install python 2.6.x from 
http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.6.6 and you would not get this error .
Also set the environment variable on your machine and in the PATH variable make 
sure you have python 2.6 installed path before python 2.7 in case you want to 
keep both the versions.   Even i am still faing one other issue. When the IDA 
6.1 start it says that "init.py No module named os" . something like that . 
still trying to fix. any suggestion will be appreciated.

there has some problem while I use python2.7.2 with ida pro6.3:

object of type "generator" has no len()
ps:i want to use peimei to generate pida
