Tool: Tidal-dl

Hi folks!
I stumbled across this awesome tool and have been happily downloading FLACs.

All was well but then I got curious about high res files, so I decided to give that a whirl...

I saw the following post and gave it a shot. #442

I guess I messed something up because now I can't download anything. I just get errors.
Any advice how to undo whatever I did will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I should also mention that I downloaded tidal-dl.exe on another computer and it's working fine.
So, is there a way to completely wipe from 1st computer and start fresh?
I'm using Windows 10 and it's just an .exe file, so not really sure how to go about fixing this...

Delete usersettings.json. This will forget your login and reset the access token to default.

Find the access token. I used Fiddler4/classic. Remember to erase the word bearer. Video tutorial: https://i.imgur.com/akCFYPI.mp4

I experienced this error too(windows), I have tried to delete usersetting json and even deleted the whole folder and did a fresh install and inserted a fresh access token, doesnt work. Well I can download without a token, but then i wont be able to download MQA. Any suggestion? This error show up both in tidal-gui and tidal-dl, I still can download using tidal-dl from android tho

@firebfm I did this with Fiddler Everwhere on MacOS, but the authentication token (without the "Bearer " part) is 324 characters, that seems big to me, is it the same for you?

@MarcusJohnson91 Mine is 323 characters, very big indeed.

Ahh, so maybe theres a leadnig or trailing space, thanks.

Yeah I was expecting it to be a power of 2 like 64 or 128 or something.

The AccessToken is Base64 encoded, and contains information like your user ID and expiration date as well as the actual API key. This fixes #511

Hey, thanks for the implementation deets.

kinda obvious in hindsight that it would be base64, the periods tripped me up lol.
