I am trying to create an AppImage of yacy.

Error in terminal after executing the AppImage

YaCy started as daemon process. Administration at http://localhost:8090 <<
X Error of failed request: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)

Maybe its when the hook for the default browser open with localhost:8090?

The apprun works manually
Also having problems with pc without java need to package jre or something.

I have a work around by putting the image into the source folder then executing it with a qb64 program.
But the image is 1.1 GB double what it should be.

./YaCy_1.940.1-x86_64.AppImage --appimage-extract-and-run

Yacy_1.940.1.AppImage

Source

The AppImage is 1.1 GB

YaCy

New users:

sudo apt install libfuse2*
Execute the AppImage first if you do not have java so the sudo password is needed to install openjdk 11.

./YaCy_1.940.1.AppImage
Once installed just click on the appimage to start Yacy.

Note: The Yacy’s Data folder ends up in the /tmp folder if you want to delete the files.

I want to test my code first before I push anything to the main repository, I have a fork to do so.

How much room, file space is left in the Yacy repository?

unofficial yacy appimage development could be tracked in the thread in community forum

let's have github issues just for reporting of bugs in yacy itself
