As a user, I'd like to be able to quickly insert Markdown formatting and platform-specific shortcodes (like <!--more--> and <!--paid-->). This could be implemented in the Edit menu (Mac app) or input accessory toolbar (iOS app), and available as keyboard shortcuts where appropriate.
