EN : Kame is a hybrid and mutative typography with three weights. Acute, legible and performative, it brings trouble within the rigidity and strictness of compositions. The two weights Kame Poster Regular and Kame Poster Black allow for cascading phrase arrangements and add importance to readability. Finally, a tiny one, the Kame Book, completes the family for common text uses. Inspired by humanist font design and modern angularity, Kame cut the letters, lightening their display.

Les deux graisses Kame Poster Regular et Kame Poster Black permettent des arrangements de phrases en cascade et apportent de l’importance à la lisibilité. Enfin, une minuscule, la Kame Book, complète la famille pour les utilisations en texte courant. Inspiré de l’empattement humaniste et de l’angularité moderne, elle découpe les lettres, allégeant leur affichage.

EN: Kame is a project started in 2014 at the workshop Write in big of Pierre di Sciullo in the school Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg. At that time, only the Kame Sans, a monospace titling font, existed.
Then, in 2018, on the behalf of the exhibition/seminary: Black Lens/Op-Film - An Archaeology of Optics launched by Khiasma and Olivier Marbœuf at La Colonie, I re-made a version of the Kame font, adding a text oriented one. Both were used inside the visual identity and promotional documents of the event.
In 2020, alongside the redesign of INACT's website, I made the Kame Poster Black version. As well as many improvements and polishing for the other two fonts, which became Kame Boook and Kame Poster Regular.
The Kame family will still have the opportunity to evolve, probably with the addition of italics and weights.

Ensuite, en 2018, à l'occasion de l'exposition / séminaire Black Lens / Op-Film - Une Archéologie de l'Optique porté par Khiasma et Olivier Marbœuf à La colonie, j'ai rélaisé une version de labeur la police Kame, qui était utilisée dans l'identité visuelle et les documents promotionnels.
En 2020, à l'ocasion de la refonte du site internet de l'association INACT à Strabourg, j'ai réalisé la version Kame Poster Black de la police. Ainsi qu'une amélioration de la version de labeur, devenue la Kame Book, et la version de titrage, la Kame Poster Regular.
La famille Kame aura encore l'occasion d'évoluer, sûrement avec l'addition d'italique et de graisses à sa version book pour l'écriture en labeur.
