Please provide a description of the protocol.

The Streamr Network provides a bulletproof pub-sub data transport layer that allows you to connect your data to the rest of the world.

Why do you believe this protocol is a good fit for The Web3 Index?

Streamr Network is an integral part of Web3 and provides data streaming services for other Web3 participants/protocols.

Can you describe the protocol's tokenomics?

The main utility of the DATA token is to fund bounty reward contracts in return for data transport quality of service guarantees on the Streamr Network. This incentive layer attracts nodes to participate in stream topologies which makes the data streams robust and secure.

The DATA token is also the governance token of the Network and is utilized in the Streamr ecosystem as the default currency for accessing paid data streams.

Who are the demand and supply side participants in the protocol? Please detail how both participants interact with the protocol.

In the Streamr Network, both data publishers (supply side) and subscribers (demand side) are nodes in a peer-to-peer network. Nodes involved in a stream of data connect to each other in a certain way – forming the stream’s topology – to perform the main function of the Streamr Network: the dissemination of messages published to that stream.

Please provide the protocol’s cumulative fees over the past 30- and 90-day periods.

For the last 30 days 1.66M DATA tokens, and 90 days it would 4.98M DATA tokens.

Note, before the Tatum (mainnet) milestone we only had implicit fees - this is the monthly issued inflation rewards we have introduced for node runners. Approx, 1.66M DATA tokens per month. When we introduce the Tatum bounty tokenomics there will be explicit fees also (we may or may not keep some implicit fees, depending on how the DAO votes).

Fee data source

We can potentially build an API for Fee Data Source if needed.
