WakaTime Icon Randomly Appearing and Disappearing from Menu Bar on macOS (MacBook Pro M1)

Description:

I’m experiencing an issue with the WakaTime app on my MacBook Pro M1 (running macOS [14.6.1]). The WakaTime icon randomly appears in the menu bar but then disappears after a short time, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes.

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue occurs randomly and does not follow a specific pattern. The appearance and disappearance of the WakaTime icon in the menu bar are unpredictable.

Expected Behavior:
The WakaTime icon should remain visible in the menu bar, providing consistent access to its functionality.

Actual Behavior:
The icon appears briefly in the menu bar but then disappears after a short time. Reopening the app from the Applications folder does not seem to have any effect, and the icon does not reappear reliably.

Additional Information:

• Despite the icon disappearing, time tracking seems to function correctly in the background, as tracked time is recorded.
• The appearance and disappearance of the icon seem to occur at random, making it difficult to reproduce consistently.
• I have already tried installing the newest version of WakaTime.

Sounds like it could be crashing, especially if the icon never re-appears without re-running the WakaTime.app. You're sure time is recorded from the mac app and not another IDE plugin, when the icon disappears?
