Situation

I can't select an input device, when I select any input device it results in the screenshot below. Is there a setting I'm missing?
(Where I'm selecting the input device, so there's no confusion):

nothing happens in the terminal when this happens. Just the start up, which is normal, any other settings I change which work fine including setting an output device, and then when I select an input device I get that screen and the cmd window says nothing new at all.

I can not reproduce it. Are there any others with the same phenomenon?

Yup, I have the same problem. Output can be selected without issue but input cannot. Also after testing the mic everything seems fine from the windows side of things.

Ok, I think I may have figured it out. My security settings on Windows was set to block usage of my microphone on desktop apps.
