We've had a user question about how to find sponsors of a constitutional amendment. I don't think we have a way to do this right now, but we could.

I think probably the correct way to do this is as follows:

  1. Identify all such votes (and, one presumes, failed constitutional amendments as well).
  2. Create a metadata tag to highlight the votes and make the tag searchable.
  3. Use the regular sponsor information to convey sponsors.

My proposal is the following:

  • Someone who isn't me should verify this
  • Tag all of these votes as key votes (many were not!)
  • Add a db flag called const_amendment, set to 1
  • Set up example searches and slides to highlight the feature
