In trying to improve OpenSprinkler by including a remote device sync through an openthings.io account (OTC connection), it has - probably inadvertently - reduced the value of the product, and gone against some of the best benefits of open source: the dynamic DNS option has been removed, meaning that remote connections are only possible with OTC, MQTT or IFTTT. This severely reduces choice and autonomity. (My newly created word :)). Additionally, I have registered for the OTC connection, and put the OTC key on OS & the OS app - and whilst they both login, the connection doesn't work.
