I encounter a issue daily on Arch + Gnome 3.20 + gTile where the hotkey I set Super + G will not yield the dialog to tile the window.

Opening Gnome Tweak and turning off gTile and on gTile solves the problem.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a way I can collect debug data to help locate the problem?

I am having the same problem with Fedora 24 + Gnome 3.20.2 + gTile. Reloading it via Gnome tweak works as well in my case. Sometimes it starts out broken when I start the system.

Anything I can do to help collect debug data?

I created a temporary workaround by writing a script that turns off and on all gnome extensions
https://ptpb.pw/Vqhe - gnome_plugins_reset.sh

Then I bound it to a keyboard hotkey -- in my case Super + /

I'm trying to transition away from gTile in favor of creating 6 screen tiles on 4k, so far here's what I got

https://ptpb.pw/2sJNz - set_window_grid.py

python3 ~/Scripts/set_window_grid.py 1 1

I think there may be a bug in my second script and there are some problems with how squished window decorations effect geometry but it's effective at fast-tiling -- if anyone wants to fork it please share your edits back so I can benefit :)
