Describe the bug

I have put the setting "Combine taskbar icons on primary taskbar" to "combine when taskbar is full"

I have multiple windows with google chrome. They all have an icon in the primary taskbar.
When I perform a download, a green "progress bar" shows on ALL chrome icons on the primary taskbar, not just the one where the download was requested.
Can this be fixed?

Expected outcome

Only have a progress bar on the chrome window that started the download

  • or no progress bar at all because at the top right of Chrome there is already a progress icon
  • or no progress bar and the old progress bar from windows 7

Actual outcome

When I perform a download, a green "progress bar" shows on ALL chrome icons on the primary taskbar, not just the one where the download was requested.

I think this is something that Chrome has set. Try using firefox and see if it does the same thing.
