Right click on the taskbar in an empty area and untick lock the taskbar. Then you can resize it using the mouse cursor. When done, right click on the taskbar in an empty area and tick lock the taskbar. This has been in windows since windows 95. |

I don't know if I haven't found this option and I apologize if I haven't found an identical thread for discussion.
