Changing the height (width) of taskbar

I don't know if I haven't found this option and I apologize if I haven't found an identical thread for discussion.
But I wanted to ask if it is possible, or just suggest as an idea, the possibility of changing the height (width in my case) of the taskbar below the minimum level. For example what i mean...

Right click on the taskbar in an empty area and untick lock the taskbar. Then you can resize it using the mouse cursor. When done, right click on the taskbar in an empty area and tick lock the taskbar.

This has been in windows since windows 95.
