Can you share more information about the exact use case? And also which Vaadin version and which component version you are using?

Either way, at first sight it seems that printing could be invoked using the Element API, for example: pdfViewer.getElement().executeJs("printPdf.printPdf($0)", pdfViewer.getSrc()). Which is similar at the invocation done by the printing button in the toolbar.
