Are you sure it's not related to #1802 ? Else it's an awful coincidence.

No you are right. It is definitely caused by #1802. The reason is that I implemented path interpolation, even in the authority path of the URI. not good. This basically reduces every authority to empty and promotes its string to the root path element.
