We Need a way to indicate deprecated code in phoenix and then be able to run something against the client codebases that looks for method calls to those deprecated calls so they can be removed. This is the only way we will be able to make meaningful changes to phoenix as quickly as they need to be made.

Can someone look into how we can get this working?
