Issue Description

It’s been a bit of a headache trying to find a specification that

  • Supports any data carrier (1D, 2D, QR, RFID,..)
  • Supports any existing identifier scheme
  • Supports alternative new schemes including DIDs as product identifiers.
  • Implements the “one carrier, multiple targets” principle
  • Ensures that the linked data always has a consistent URI for a product or facility no matter how many different ways the ID is represented.
  • Reuses existing ISO & IETF standards to the maximum extent
