Invalid Imports

Summary

Our Backend has many nested modules and we need to figure out a way to standardize and connect all of them together so that we dont get a bunch of errors saying that the module "app" is undefined. This will help speed up the development process and help utilize the IDE to its fullest potential. We have to make sure that we don't break the code/tests while implementing this fix
