Rationale

Our version of pydantic is 1.10.5. A new major version 2.6.1 is available. Upgrading dependencies in software projects is crucial for security, bug fixes, and performance improvements. Additionally, upgrades enable compatibility with other dependencies and platforms.

Implementation Ideas

We will need to upgrade to this version and ensure no functionality breaks. Thorough testing will be needed.
