Cromite doesn't display some IPA characters correctly

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Go on https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/naheliegend
  2. In the “pronunciation” section, you can see that some IPA characters are displayed as blank rectangles

Expected behavior

Correct display of all IPA characters

Excuse my ignorance as to what IPA is, but which character do you not see?

As you can see some characters don't display correctly. I apologise in advance if this is a problem related to my android system (hyperos) and cannot be fixed by Cromite

no need to apologise, please!
try deactivating chrome://flags/cromite#fonts-fingerprint-mitigation

unfortunately, by now it is clear to me, that patch does not work as it should, a replacement is planned.

I disabled "Enable fonts fingerprint mitigation" and restarted Cromite. No effect.

Not sure if it matters, but you may be interested to know that the IPA characters are displayed properly when you use the "find" function:

I think it might be a limitation of your android distribution at this point, which is what exactly?
it sounds strange to me that it works with other browsers instead, can you confirm this?
