As stated in the title, the InfinityBookPro14-Gen9 - CH-FR ISO layout is not CH-FR but CH-DE.

The mistake is related to three keys: éö, èü and àä. While both CH-FR and CH-DE have these characters on the same keys, there is a slight difference.

When using CH-DE :

  • when pressing these keys without the "shift" modifier results in ö, ü and ä,
  • when pressing these keys with the "shift" modifier results in é, è and à.

Current version of the layout which has ö, ü and ä in a bigger font size and in bold, and with é, è and à in smaller in the bottom left corner of the key suggests exactly the above behavior.

However, with CH-FR it is exactly the contrary:

  • when pressing these keys without the "shift" modifier results in é, è and à.
  • when pressing these keys with the "shift" modifier results in ö, ü and ä,

This difference is related to the difference between french and german languages.

In french:

  • not a single word uses the ä character, but à is a very common character.
  • not a single word uses the ü character, but è is a very common character.
  • not a single word uses the ö character, but é is a very common character.

In german it is exactly the opposite (i.e. é, è, à are not used in german.

Can you please :

  • rename this layout to CH-DE instead of CH-FR
  • add a CH-FR layout with é, è, à in a bigger font-size in bold and ö, ü, à in a smaller non-bold in bottom left corner of the keys (shift modifier)

If not please explain your rationale.

Thank you in advance.
