I often declare to support a pretty old perl, but have to admit I don't keep old perls around and just about never test if my code works with them...
So, it would be nice to have a special target that looks in META.yml for the perl version declared there, and then tests against that.
I don't know if that is even possible with helpers like they are now, but it would be nice if they were. :-)

It should be possible to do, although it would require changing the order things are done.
There's also the question of what it should do if no minimum perl version is specified.
