Rendering issue for dropdown boxes on Chrome

If you visit https://transit.land/playground/ in Chrome (Version 48.0.2564.109 m on Windows 7 Enterprise) and click on the "Show Me" dropdown box, the box expands but shows up as empty:

If you hover over the box, the text for the hovered item will appear, but the others still appear blank:

These dropdowns render correctly on FireFox 44.0.2, same machine.
