I am looking forward to being able to use SimpleCV with python3. When will this great fork/repo be ready?

Hi @Cole128,

it will probably never be ready. The current issue is the internal data type for storing image information which is not compatible with a current version of OpenCV. Therefore quite a lot of code needs to be refactored, but I currently lack the resources to do so. I am willing to help anyone who attempts this. In the meantime I found the Python bindings of OpenCV sufficient for most of my tasks at hand. Sorry for the bad news.

That's too bad. If you have the time though, I'm a bit interested in the issue with data types. Does this have to do with python3 ?
