ASCIIPoint

An ASCII presentation tool by Gareth Halfacree and Tom Hudson. Initially written in less than 24 hours for LeedsHack 2012.

Requirements

  • linux
  • PHP 5.4 (for short array syntax, Callable type hints and Closure::bindTo())
  • jp2a (for image to ASCII conversion)

To run a single slide (e.g. one of the template slides), just pass the filename as the only argument:

./present.php template-slides/lines.php

Features

  • Basic text
  • Line, rectangle, circle, ellipse, and simple bezier curve drawing
  • Slide-X and slide-Y animations
  • On-the-fly image to ASCII conversion
